The Beat of Beast chapbook

I am delighted to be releasing the chapbook, The Beat of Beast, TODAY, along with the performance at The Cuckoo Club!

The book features all the poems which didn't quite make it into the performance, which are more for sipping and mulling over rather than knocked back like spoken word's answer to a Jaegerbomb.

They tell the story of Zainab, a maid, Arundhati, an NRI, and Freddi, an expat, who all move to Mumbai in the hope of making it big in this beast-breathing city.

The poems in this chapbook are their innermost thoughts, the female experiences that unfold in silence, the stars through which their narrative is threaded.

Pick yours up at a performance for only 250 rupees!

The full-length poetry collection, The Beat of Beast, was shortlisted for The 'Great' Indian Poetry Collective and Eyewear Publishing's Melita Hulme prize, so watch this space for its publication!
